Introducing the "Breathe Free" Anti-Tobacco Digita

Introducing the "Breathe Free" Anti-Tobacco Digital Graphics Competition!! 🚭🫁

Participants will design digital graphics (posters, social media graphics, GIFs, or short animations) that challenge the normalization of tobacco use and promote a healthy, smoke-free lifestyle. Young women and girls are disproportionately targeted by the tobacco industry through flavored tobacco, deceptive marketing, and cultural normalization of smoking and vaping. This competition encourages them to push back through digital art by reimagining a world where their communities are free from the harms of tobacco.

This intergenerational cooking program will provide opportunity to learn more about Southeast Asian culture through story-telling and reflection. The “Asian Gambler” stereotype is one among many that conflates certain cultural beliefs and values as explanations to problematic patterns of behavior. When the root causes of issues like problem gambling are obscured by harmful stereotypes, education and resources to address them are trivialized.
